Join us at Orford’s Slow Living Market, where we’ll be selling hand-made willow baskets and teaching willow weaving for basket making throughout the day.
On Sunday 6th November, Femke will be leading a willow weaving for basket making workshop between 10am-4pm at Orford Town Hall.
In this workshop she will share techniques and practices that are appropriate for making a round basket, the blueprint for making many types of baskets and useful for storing fruit or as a banneton/proving basket for bread making. As part of a small group, you will practice the craft and begin making a simple basket to take home.
Places on this full day weaving workshop are limited, so please book online in advance.
The price for the full day weaving workshop is £80 (including materials). We have one space available at half-price for anyone who needs it. If you’d like to attend but would not be able at full-price, just select the ‘discounted’ option. No questions asked.
The Slow Living Market showcases and demonstrates craft from Suffolk and beyond, and takes place each autumn in Orford Town Hall. We’re delighted to be participating alongside a range of brilliant local makers and designers.
